He learned the craft at the Práter Street Vocational School, and then took part at the Masterclass 2000 in Saint Petersburg, and the Magnum Masterclass in London; he also studied in Toronto and New York. He worked for dailies and journals from 1993 (Esti Hírlap, Blikk, Népszabadság). He is now a freelance photographer, with works published in COLORS Magazine, The Huffington Post, Gizmodo, National Geographic Magyarország and The New York Times. He was the photographer of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees between 2011–2013. Awards: Pécsi József Scholarship (2009), Balogh Rudolf Prize (2011), André Kertész Scholarship (2012), Scholarship of the Robert Capa Prizes (2015).
